Hosted by Tips Out, Esfand, and Xaryu in partnership with Starforge Systems, RestedXP, and Raider.IO. A level 30 Horde open bracket showdown on the World of Warcraft: Forever Closed Beta!
Tournament Format & Three Stages
The Leveling Stage
Participants create a brand-new Horde character on the WoW: Forever Beta PvP ruleset. Characters must carry the surname "Foreverpvp" and be leveled to 30. Registration closes October 4th at 11am PT.
The Qualifiers
Registered duelists must check-in on Raider.IO and pay the 15g entry fee. Open brackets will battle to determine the top 4 placing duelists of each class to advance to Sunday's grand finals.
The TFO Finals
The top 4 duelists of all 9 classes (36 fighters) enter the grand championship bracket competing in Best-of-5 duel series. The winner is crowned Death's Duelist and takes home the $25,000 grand prize!

Official Competition Rules & Bans Ledger
Banned Items & Consumables
- Magic Dust is strictly banned.
- All Protection Potions are banned (Fire, Nature, Frost, Arcane, Holy, and Shadow protection potions).
- Holiday Buffs & Items banned (e.g. Wickerman buff, Candy Corn, seasonal food).
- Banned items in bags: Banned items cannot be in your bags during mandatory inspections!
Opener & Arena Regulations
- 20-Yard Starting Spacing: Stand on the duel flag, then step 10 yards directly opposite before duel accepts.
- No Openers Guaranteed: No mounting prior to opening. Stealthed characters may move freely once spaced.
- 10-Second Countdown given by administrators before duel accept.
- 1–2 Minute Downtime between duels for recovery and rebuffing.
Legacy Points & Talent Locks (Major Meta Impact)
Official rules explicitly confirm: "Legacy points are permitted." Because WoW: Forever features legacy talent trees granting perks (such as bonus talent points and utility advantages), competitors are actively grinding out legacy masteries during the leveling phase.
Duelists must maintain 1 submitted talent build for the Qualifiers and 1 build for the Finals (submitted 24 hours in advance). Competitors are subject to live bag and talent inspections on stream.
Delay of Game & Fleeing
Inactivity for 60 seconds or more (e.g. infinite rogue stealth stalling) results in immediate forfeit. Intentionally fleeing or intentionally force-fleeing an opponent (chain fearing across the duel boundary) results in immediate disqualification. Duel timeouts cap food/water at 3.
Mandatory POV Streaming
All competitors must stream their POV during Qualifiers and Finals on Twitch, YouTube, or Kick with VoD preservation enabled. Failure to stream or preserve VoDs forfeits all prize claims.
Registration Checklist: Step-by-Step
- Beta Access: Secure beta access via official opt-in or Battle.net pre-purchase (Epic Pack or Forever Collection).
- Create Horde Character: Roll a new Horde character on the PvP ruleset on/after Sept 27 (11am PT).
- Mandatory Surname: Ensure your character's surname is set to "Foreverpvp".
- Register on Raider.IO: Complete the form at rio.gg/foreveropen ↗ before October 4th.
- Join Guild: Request an in-game invite to
