The Gossip ColumnA Cheeky Level 30 Dual Spec? Blizzard Teases Earlier Unlock
Senior Game Producer Josh Greenfield hints that Dual Specialization might unlock earlier than level 40, teasing a cheeky level 30 unlock for dungeon tanks and leveling hybrids.
Leveling hybrid classes just got a major glimmer of hope. On the latest WoW Forever Podcast, Senior Game Producer Josh Greenfield dropped a tantalizing teaser while discussing dungeon tank shortages and whether warriors should be forced to level in deep Protection: Dual Specialization may arrive well before level 40.
"One of the benefits we have is having dual spec, which will come online... at level 40 currently," Greenfield revealed with a grin. "We're talking about what the right level for that to actually enable is, but currently it's set to 40. Maybe a cheeky thirty, I don't know, we'll see."
Overheard at the Tarren Mill Flight Master
"If I have to slog through the Barrens as Holy or pay fifty gold every weekend just to tank Scarlet Monastery Graveyard, I'm billing the Royal Bank of Ironforge," cheered a level 28 paladin, clutching their two-hander. "Give us that cheeky thirty, Josh! The dungeon queue lives or dies on this!"
