Building Azeroth's Living Ledger from Closed Beta to Realm Launch
very grand journey in Azeroth begins with a single, decisive choice at the character creation screen. As closed beta testing continues and the community debates talent trees and raid rosters, WoW Forever News is establishing a permanent, transparent demographic index for World of Warcraft: Forever. We believe players deserve clear, honest population data without relying on speculation or opaque third-party scrapers.
Our royal census rollout follows a straightforward, three-part roadmap designed to grow alongside the game:
1. Closed Beta Community Ballot: Today, our Realm Census Ledger features an interactive StrawPoll ballot asking every adventurer what primary class they plan to main. The live aggregate breakdown recalculates instantly on the ledger page with custom class meters and real-time tallies.
2. Launch Day Living Ledger: When realms go live, we will deploy a dedicated in-game `/who` scanner addon. Our goal is ambitious yet transparent: cataloging first names, surnames, guilds, and realm distributions (PvP versus PvE) across all realms into a living, searchable historical index.
3. Endgame Raid Log Datasets: Once the gates of Molten Core open and raiding begins, we will publish dedicated, standalone raid participation and progression datasets to measure actual active raider demographics.
