Dungeon XP & World Transit Overhaul

Level Brackets Clarified, Ship Routes Debuting, and Live Q&A Set

resh dispatches have arrived from the development team and recent developer interviews detailing major adjustments to leveling pacing, world travel, and launch dungeon brackets in World of Warcraft: Forever! In addition, Blizzard has officially scheduled a live Q&A broadcast following BlizzCon 2026 reveals.

Here is your comprehensive Tuesday dispatch compiling all the verified updates.

Dungeon XP Tuning: Mob Kills Reduced, Quest XP Boosted

In a recent interview conducted by The Sun, Blizzard unveiled significant changes to how experience is earned inside dungeons during the level 1–60 journey:

Unchanged Experience Curve: The total experience required to reach level 60 remains identical to classic vanilla pacing.
Reduced Mob Experience: Experience granted from individual mob kills inside dungeons has been reduced.
Boosted Dungeon Quest XP: Experience rewarded from completing dungeon quests has been increased significantly.

The Editorial Take: This shift makes your initial questing run through a dungeon extremely lucrative, while subsequent runs without quests yield far less XP. Blizzard's goal is to disincentivize spamming the same dungeon repeatedly for fast levels, discourage AFK dungeon boosting, and encourage adventurers to explore the open world and new zones.

Three New Maritime Ship Routes Debuting at Launch

To reduce travel friction without destroying world immersion, Blizzard confirmed three brand-new ship routes debuting in WoW: Forever:

1. Stormwind Harbor <-> Auberdine: Direct connection between Alliance capitals, easing travel for Night Elves heading to Stormwind and humans traveling to Darnassus.
2. Menethil -> Southshore -> Auberdine: A three-stop maritime transit line connecting Wetlands, Hillsbrad Foothills, and Darkshore.
3. The Riverglades <-> Steamwheedle Port: Connects the new Riverglades frontier zone directly to Tanaris, providing a new transit corridor to the southern reaches of both Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms.

Krol’dok Stronghold & Official Launch Dungeon Brackets

Following minor discrepancies in BlizzCon media, Blizzard issued an official blue post clarifying that Krol’dok Stronghold is designed for levels 40–45.

Along with this clarification, Blizzard provided the definitive level bracket roster for all nine new launch dungeons:

The Hall of Thanes: Levels 13–18
Ruins of Lordaeron: Levels 15–20
Excavation Site: Wetlands: Levels 24–29
City of Dalaran: Levels 28–33
The Drowned City: Levels 35–40
Krol'dok Stronghold: Levels 40–45
Alcaz Prison: Levels 48–53
Blackmaw Hold: Levels 55–60
Shaper’s Terrace: Levels 58–60
